Skiing/Splitboarding for Beginners – Weekend Camp
Want to get off the slopes and into the backcountry? You’ve come to the right place! This touring camp is for anyone who wants to get into ski or splitboard touring or improve their skills. We teach you everything you need to know about touring. From the correct ascent to avalanche awareness, we give you all the basics to get you started in this sport. In addition, we learn a lot of theory about tour planning, snow profile, etc. This camp is perfect for you if you are a beginner and/or already have a few small tours behind you.
The tour is designed to be beginner-friendly, with a maximum ascent of 600 meters per day. We’ll meet at the Grindelwald First valley station, take the gondola up for the first stretch, and then head straight into the backcountry! Overnight accommodation will be at Gasthaus Waldspitz, in shared rooms.
